Since the liberation of Mosul in July 2017, almost 100,000 people from West Mosul and surrounding villages have returned to their homes, only to find a heap of ruins. As winter is fast approaching there are still millions of internally displaced people and refugees living in make-shift buildings and tents without heaters, electricity or hot water, surviving only with the supplies given to them from relief organisations.
We are hoping to make a difference to the lives of those in the camps near Mosul by sending 1,000 blankets and other essential winter supplies to get them through the sub-zero temperatures in the months ahead.
Please send items to our office address (GAiN UK, c/o Agapé, 167 Newhall Street, Birmingham, B3 1SW) by 10th November 2017. Perhaps you could also encourage a group of friends to collect as many of these items as you can?
To find out more on how you can mobilise others to join with you and host a collection click here to download everything you will need to know. Please do drop us a line too so that we can hear your plans and ideas!
You can drop them off or give us a call and we can arrange a collection. Thank You!
